CIVIL WAR RESEARCH ASSISTANCE NEEDED

We have recently received two requests for assistance in researching Vermont Regiments and soldiers.
If you have any information or knowledge pertaining to the following requests please contact Gail Blake, thanks.
Bob Richter from Greene, NY is researching the 2nd, 5th, 12th, 14th, and 16th Vermont and the 1st Vermont Cavalry.  He is interested in descriptions of their weapons and uniforms when the regiments were formed and at the Battle of Gettysburg.
Kelly Osmer from Litchfield, NH is searching for a photograph of his great-great-grandfather Benjamin Hathaway who served as a private in the 12th Vermont.  Kelly is also researching his great-uncle Frank J. Osmer who served in the 6th Vermont and possibly in the Veterans Reserve Corps, but has been unable to find much information.
